#7 Building and Selling a Company
Our client was an early stage company who had recently launched their software. As the first independent Board member, I worked closely with the CEO to develop and execute our investor strategy which raised $1.25 million in institutional and angel investment. As the company grew during its first twelve months, we established partnerships to accelerate our growth. Through one of these partnerships, we were approached with an offer to be acquired.
I led these initial discussions, which soon resulted in a term sheet and subsequent acquistion just two years after the initial software launch.
